6 Tips for Energy Maintenance While Traveling

6 Tips for Energy Maintenance While Traveling

Traveling can be an incredibly stressful experience and it also tends to completely throw off our energy. We are thrust into overwhelming situations and are turned into overdrive. Here are 6 of my go-to tips to stay calm, clear, and collected while you travel!

  1. Boundaries

While traveling and on vacation, you will more than likely be surrounded by many people, large crowds, and lots of chaotic energy and not have much alone time. This is why maintaining your energetic boundaries is crucial at this time. Make sure you pray to your guides and ask for protection while you travel. This is the prayer I use:

Sacred Guides
I ask for your protection
Surround me in your cocoon of Light
Protect all layers of my being
Shield me from outside energy
Be the Guards and Guardians of my mind, body and soul.
Allow no one and nothing to pass your fervent light
Thank you for your vigilant protection and your glorious shield.

Imagine yourself surrounded by a bubble of colored light, this is your sacred space. Imagine that any energy that travels through your bubble is instantly transmuted into positive vibes. If you feel that your aura (bubble) is expansive and encompasses a large area visualize drawing your energy field in close to your body while you travel.

My favorite way to maintain boundaries is to envision that the bubble surrounding me is a cocoon of violet light. I also use this invocation from Elizabeth Prophet to call in the Violet Fire:

I Am Presence Bright
Round me seal your tube of light
From Ascended Master Flame
Called forth now in God’s own name.
Let it keep my temple free
From all discord sent to me
I am calling forth Violet Fire
To blaze and transmute all desire
Keeping on in freedom’s name
Until I am one with the Violet Flame
  1. Spiritual Travel Kit

I always make up a little kit of goodies that helps keep me anchored in my spiritual practices and my vibration high while I travel. Your spiritual travel kit can consist of anything that helps you maintain your connection to your Higher Self. My kit often includes the following:

  • A deck of oracle cards
  • A mini journal
  • Essential oils to support grounding (especially if I am flying), protection, clearing, immunity, energy (for long trips and jet lag), calming, etc.
  • Crystals for all of the same above circumstances, I especially make sure to wear crystals that protect my energy such as; black tourmaline, amber, labradorite, smokey quartz, and hematite.

  1. Clear Constantly

No matter how good you are with your energetic hygiene, it is inevitable that you will pick up energy from others and the new places around you. I use my handmade essential oil aura spray, Crystal Clear, many times a day while I travel. It is a version of a smokeless smudge (perfect for airplanes and hotels!) that protects and clears you and the space around you. I also use the spray in unison with a prayer to Archangel Michael and the Royal Blue Flame at the very end of the day. Visualize royal blue light washing your body and flushing away any energy that is foreign.

Archangel Michael,
Please clear all energies that no longer serve me from my being.
Wash away all foreign energy.
Sever the responsibility to carry others’ emotions.
Transmute all low vibrations into love.
Fill me with Light
Return me to my 5th-dimensional potential.
I allow your healing Light to move through me with every breath I take.
I surrender.

You can purchase the Crystal Clear Aura Spray on my site, here.

Essential Oils: Palo Santo, Sage, Frankincense, Juniper Berry, Clove, Cinnamon, Rosemary – Crystal Essences: Amber, Labradorite, Smokey Quartz – Infused with Reiki + Archangel Energy.
  1. Hydrate

Remind yourself to hydrate thoroughly. While traveling avoid caffeine, alcohol, and drinks that are high in sugar. You need to be fully fueled so that you can avoid headaches, fatigue, bloating and constipation (if flying) and the best way to do this is to hydrate.

As most of you know, hydration is KEY to health and wellness and it’s even more important while you travel and is crucial in keeping your energy fresh and clear.

  1. Mini Yoga Sesh

Stretch whenever you get a chance! Tension in your muscles also means tension in your emotions. Spending loads of time in a car or plane can do a number on your body and therefore can really affect your mood as well. To avoid feeling frustrated, stuck, and angry, do some yoga while you travel!

I highly recommend this inconspicuous sequence by Yoga with Adrienne that you can do while seated in your chair on the airplane or in the car. Click here to watch her video.

If you would like a full standing sequence to do after your travels there are many mini 5-15 minute yoga sequences you can find on the Internet, find one that resonates with you and your experience level. I love this one by Yoga Journal, here. Also, remember there is no wrong way to stretch, just make a point to get up and stretch.

No matter what type of stretching or yoga you do make sure to cap off your mini yoga sesh with at least 5 minutes of meditation. If you are not familiar with mediation and are not interested in learning during this high-stress travel period, simply sit in silence for 5 minutes while you listen to your breath. Take out the headphones, put down the book, pull over to a rest stop, just be for a few minutes and pause everything. A mini yoga sesh followed with 5 mins of meditation will keep your mind, body and spirit clear.

  1. Acupressure Ball

To compliment my mini yoga sesh I use my favorite tool of all. This little blue ball is my lifesaver. If I could only take one thing with me when I traveled, it would be this ball. It helps massage out your entire body and targets the common aches and pains that come with traveling. It also comes with a free nifty ebook on how to use it, buy it on Amazon here.

I use mine on my feet in particular and you can do this in the car or airplane. There are hundreds of acupressure points on the bottom of your feet through which you can access your entire body (this is the study of Reflexology) By massaging the feet with the acupressure ball you are giving your entire body a tune-up! Relieve stress, sickness, and discomfort simply by massaging your feet.

Have safe travels and enjoy your vacation!
