Earth Angels

Earth Angels

I was skimming Pinterest looking for inspirational posts to pin and stumbled upon some beautiful fantasy paintings by Kirk Reinert. One in particular resonated with my soul. A painting of a blonde woman, naked, incased by her big, beautiful, feathery, white, wings.  I have often been told I am an Earth Angel, an incarnated angel, here on earth sent to heal and teach. I outwardly blushed when I first heard of my true essence, not fully believing its validity. Me? An angel? Yea right.

Then I made my first trip out to Colorado and it was magical. I had many spiritual, mystical revelations during this but one of the most important was the first discovery of my wings. Upon meeting my dear friend, Scotty, he told me he could see my wings; that they spanned miles and where strong and powerful. I was shocked, but this time I listened. I actually heard what he was saying instead of sweeping it under the rug.

Earth Angel…

How could I be something so serene, so powerful, so Divine. However, then again, aren’t we all part of the Divine? The Divine source, the Divine oneness that we are all a piece of.

Then I feel, I feel into my soul, I feel into my heart, I feel into my wings… and they are there! I’ve always wondered why I was so innately sweet, not to toot my own horn, but I can be painfully, heart breakingly sweet. Then I found Assertiveness for Earth Angels by Doreen Virtue, and it all made sense. There is such thing as being too nice! You can be loving without being too sweet. When we are too sweet, we allow others to take our power, to steal our thunder. When we are too sweet our bright light is too easily smudged out.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

-Marianne Williamson

When I found this painting, it was a subtle yet earth shaking reminder. Embrace my wings, feel their power. Although my mission in this life is to be loving, healing, and a guide, I am not here to be a doormat. I am not here to shrink so others can feel tall.

Do you feel you may be an Earth Angel? I highly recommend you read Doreen Virtue’s books on the subject matter; I wish I could share more knowledge with you, however I am still a girl just trying to figure out her own origin. Please follow me along in my own journey, we can discover it together. If the idea of being an incarnated angel resonates with your soul use this painting as a I will, as a constant reminder of my potential, my home, and my mission.
